News is always changing, and here at Highland News and Media we always aim to keep you up to date with what’s happening in your community.

It’s something we’ve been doing for more than 200 years, when our oldest title first went to press.

Nobody covers your local area like we do.

In the aftermath of the first 18 months of the pandemic, we’re looking to the future – while remembering the values that have kept us at the heart of our communities for centuries. The appetite for trusted local news has never been stronger.

As well as selling thousands of newspapers every week across the north of Scotland, we have seen exceptional growth in page views and unique visitors to our websites.

More people than ever are visiting our websites for trusted local news – from 600,000 page views a month in January 2019 to more than 4 million last month.

Now we are bringing you another way to make accessing our content easier than ever.

From today, we are launching new digital subscription packages, allowing you to access the news which is important to you across any device – including the new HNM app.

Get your news when - and where - it suits you.

It’s a great way to stay connected to your community, with a range of subscription packages available giving unlimited access to our exclusive content across news, sport, entertainment and features. The HNM app will include access to all of our titles in the form of a replica newspaper, as well as a live feed of breaking news and sport.

There is also a puzzles section with unlimited interactive challenges for you to test your brain.

And until the end of October, there’s a £10 saving on our annual Digital+ subscription package – see the promotion on pages 8-9 for the discount code.

HNM’s publishing director Steve Barron said: “This is an exciting time for us at HNM and we are delighted to launch our new digital subscription packages, which provide a great new way to access all of our unique content.

“We are as committed as ever to bringing great trusted, local content to our readers, whether they are picking up a newspaper or picking up their phone.”
