AN eagerly anticipated new arrival in Ross-shire’s county town has revealed plans for its big opening at the weekend.

Home Bargains sats it has invested approximately £5 million into its new store on Dingwall’s Tulloch Street.

The bargain basement retailer will be officially opened at 8am on Saturday.

As one of the UK’s largest family-run retailers, Home Bargains is creating 55 new jobs in the town.

Robert McMillan, the new Dingwall store manager, said: “I am thrilled to be opening the new store in Dingwall providing 55 new jobs and looking forward to serving the local and surrounding communities.”

The new Dingwall store will join over 600 outlets across the UK. Opening approximately 50 stores a year, Home Bargains says it is bucking current trends in the industry.

The 17,125 sq. ft store, will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh, chilled and frozen food.

The Dingwall store will also have an instore bakery.

McMillan added: “Dingwall will be a great location for us, and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”

With more than five million customers each week, Home Bargains can lay claim to being one of the country’s best-loved discount retailers.
