The wait is almost over!
The winners of the Highlands & Islands Thistle Awards 2024 will be revealed next Friday, October 4.
And with just a week to go, HITA, its partners and awards’ sponsors wish all the finalists the very best of luck!
Headline sponsor, Royal Bank of Scotland, praised the nominees for their dedication and commitment to the sector.
Garry Munro, director for north Scotland, said: “On behalf of everyone at Royal Bank of Scotland, we would like to wish all of the finalists at this year’s Highlands & Islands Thistle Awards a huge congratulations.
“Being shortlisted at these awards is an amazing achievement, and a fantastic way to recognise the dedication and commitment of your colleagues behind the scenes. We know how much hard work and effort goes on into running businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector, and we have been really impressed with the standard of applications this year. The stories we’ve seen and heard reflect a real passion and commitment to the sector, your customers and your teams.
“A massive well done to all those shortlisted and all the very best for success on October 4.”
Craig Burns from sponsor, Huckleberry, applauded the finalists for showcasing the beauty and spirit of the Highlands and Islands: “We’re genuinely inspired. Congratulations on being selected. As you prepare for the big day, remember that you’re already among the very best in the industry. No matter the outcome, your contributions are highly valued by everyone connected to tourism in Scotland. Wishing you the very best of luck, and we look forward to seeing you all soon!”
HITA chairman, Calum Ross, congratulated all the shortlisted finalists and commended everyone who took the time to enter: “From all at HITA, good luck and enjoy a well-deserved night off at the awards’ ceremony and gala dinner at the Kingsmills Hotel!
“Once again, the event is a sell-out which shows just how much the awards mean to our tourism and hospitality community.
“Every year, we are immensely proud to see the strength of entries from businesses across the sector. It’s great to see them share their stories of success, hard work and innovation ‒ particularly what they are doing to make changes in their organisations that are recognised within the climate strategy.
“2024 is no exception and their stories not only inspire us and their peers but continue to deliver a world-class experience to their customers and rewarding careers for their employees.
“We look forward to celebrating your success with you at what will be a fantastic night.”
Mr Ross also thanked HITA’s partners and sponsors for their continued support: “The Highlands & Islands Thistle Awards simply could not take place were it not for the generous support and commitment from our many partners and sponsors from across the tourism and hospitality sector, and wider business community. From all at HITA, we thank you.”
The winners will be announced at the ceremony and gala dinner at the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness on Friday, October 4.
