Police Scotland is appealing for more information following reports of a suspicious vehicle entering a farm yard in the Tomatin area at the weekend.

Locals are being urged to lock up any valuables including quad bikes.

A force spokesman said: "We received a report of a blue van being driven by a lone male acting suspiciously in the Tomatin area over the weekend.

"The van was seen to drive into a farm yard and the driver appeared to be paying attention to a shed containing quad bikes and kennels.

"The rural community is being urged to ensure that any valuable items like quad bikes are stored securely and that any suspicious activity near to farms is reported to police."

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police in Inverness on 101 quoting reference PS-20210212-1919.
