Highland police appeal after reports of disturbance in wooded area
POLICE have issued a witness appeal following reports of a disturbance in a wooded area of the Highland capital.
Police and ambulance personnel attended the area close to King Duncan’s Road, Inverness after a member of the public voiced concern for the welfare of a woman seen there.
Police said in a statement that they had later managed to confirm the safety of the woman.
However in a statement issued on Sunday evening, they issued an appeal for anyone who may have witnessed an incident in that area around 8.30pm on Saturday, May 31 to get in touch.
The statement says: "A number of people were believed to have been in or around the wooded area
"If anyone has any information, regardless of how insignificant it may appear, they are urged to contact Police on 101."
