Actors are eagerly dusting off their costumes for this year’s performance of Cinderella at Eden Court.
It is the first time the panto has taken place in two years due to the pandemic.
The show opens on December 10, and panto writer-producer Steven Wren and fairy godmother Claire Darcy were delivered on time by lead sponsor D&E Coaches.
“It’s both nervous and exciting to be back rehearsing and counting down to the return of live pantomime,” Mr Wren said. “It’s a hectic time for our team fitting in 10 days’ rehearsal and then performing through to the final curtain on January 8 – but after last year’s lockdown we’re all up for it and looking forward to entertaining audiences.”
Donald Mathieson, managing director of D&E Coaches, said: “We sponsored the Beauty and the Beast panto in 2019 and we’re relieved and delighted to support Cinderella, which we hope will be a real winter warmer for kids and adults alike. Eden Court is such a superb asset to the city and wider Highlands and the panto is its biggest annual money-spinner, so it’s terrific that Steven and company are back in action.”
