Highland housebuilder plots £25million Ross-shire surge
A CONSTRUCTION firm's growing confidence in the Highland housing market is being highlighted with plans for a £25million investment in four Ross-shire villages.
Tulloch Homes has outlined building plans in Muir of Ord, Conon Bridge, North Kessock and Fortrose.
Construction begins this week on the first homes at a new development at Broomhill, Muir of Ord. The development, near the Glen Ord distillery, will include two- and three-bedroom villas plus two-bedroom cottage apartments.
Tulloch says prices there start from £125,000.
New phases of existing developments are also being rolled out at Conon Bridge, Fortrose and North Kessock.
The latter location has been selected to host Tulloch’s new "elite-range homes", following the sellout of the previous executive development at Home Farm Meadows in Inverness.Homes in this range will be priced up to £550,000
Chief executive George Fraser said: "We’ve never been so active in Ross-shire but our research shows the market is now there for rural homes and we’re going for it.
"Our 35 per cent sales increase in the first six months of this year has set the stage for this significant fresh investment.
"All four Ross-shire locations have the ability to service both local and incoming markets, plus those seeking homes within commuting distance of Inverness and Dingwall."
