Highland Hospice calls on people to support its fundraising Wear Yellow Day

Staff at Highland Hospice hope people will go online to support its fundraising effort this Friday.

The Highland Hospice Wear Yellow Day fundraising event is offering a programme of activities through which people can show their support.

The event this Friday is sponsored by Stoddart Crane Hire and Highland Voices Choir have recorded a version of Coldplay’s Yellow, with an accompanying video.

Claire Darcy, from TFX Performing Academy, one of the hospice’s Strictly Inverness dance tutors, has choreographed a short dance routine to the song Walking on Sunshine, which people can practice at home.

Local DJ Gary Tuach is hosting a stay-in disco on Friday and Limelight Event Services will be lighting the hospice building in Inverness yellow on Thursday.

Duncan Forbes Primary head teacher Wendy Mackay has compiled an activity pack for children to enjoy, Ashers has provided the recipe for its classic lemon drizzle cake and Bad Girl Bakery has done the same for its sunshine cupcakes for people to try at home.

Several well-known local faces are recording video messages explaining why they are supporting Wear Yellow Day, and the hospice has a fundraising pack on its website.
