THE clubhouse at Inverness Golf Club on Culcabock Road is closed because of a positive Covid test about a week ago that led to six staff going into isolation.
The course remains open, however, and it is hoped things will return to normal this Sunday, with the clubhouse re-opening.
Club secretary/manager Ewan Forbes confirmed that a member of their kitchen staff had tested positive on October 21 and all the isolation protocols were followed and the building closed for deep cleaning.
Mr Forbes said: "I believe the staff member who tested positive is doing all right, and as far as I am aware, none of the other staff in isolation have developed symptoms.
"We got a professional company in to carry out specialist fogging, and we have done other deep cleaning ourselves. Although the whole building is closed, the course itself remains open."
Inverness Culcabock, only a short walk from the city centre and is described as "a fantastic example of a Highland parkland course with challenging holes and immaculately kept greens."
