Road closures in Aird area of Highlands take effect on Monday to pave way for bridge replacement and repairs

Highland Council has advised of a number of road closures.

A number of roads within the Aird district of Inverness-shire will be temporarily closed over the coming months as of Monday next week.

The closures will come into effect at 8am on Monday and will remain until 6pm on Friday, February 25, 2022.

The temporary traffic prohibitions are required to allow bridge replacement and road and drainage improvement works.

The C1072 Abriachan - Foxhole Road will be closed between its junction with the A833 Milton - Phoineas (Brochies Corner) Road and its junction with the C1060 Dunain - Backfold - Abriachan Road.

The C1060 Dunain - Blackfold - Abriachan road will be closed temporarily at its junction with the A82 Dalnottar - Inverness trunk road and its junction with the C1072 Abriachan - Foxhole Road.

The C1072 Abriachan - Foxhole Road will be closed between its junction with the A833 Milton - Phoineas (Brochies Corner) Road and its junction with the U2346 Bog Road, Kiltarlity.

The A82 Dalnottar - Inverness trunk road will be affected at its left turn into the C1060 Dunain - Blackfold - Abriachan Road and at the right turn into the C1060 Dunain - Blackfold - Abriachan Road.

The A833 Milton - Phoineas (Brochies Corner) will be affected at its left turn into the C1072 Arbriachan - Foxhole Road and at its right turn into the C1072 Abriachan - Foxhole Road.

The U2346 Bog Road, Kiltarlity will also be affected at its right turn into the C1072 Abriachan - Foxhole Road.
