The chief executive of High Life Highland has spoken following the First Minister’s updated Covid–19 statements to remind customers that the charity’s locations should not be affected by the restrictions coming into place later in the week.

High Life Highland have been re-opening it's facilities throughout the region, after being allowed to open up after the covid restrictions were eased.

High Life Highland chief executive Steve Walsh said: “High Life Highland has worked extremely hard to ensure that our locations are operating strictly in line with the Scottish Government’s guidelines.

“The changes understandably implemented by the First Minister today should have no impact on the experience of members and customers accessing our services or in the way HLH staff will operate our various locations.

High Life Highland has been operating online booking systems to access its various locations to ensure it complies with the necessary protect and trace requirements. In addition, the Charity has increased its online offering across all its services, ensuring access to those choosing to remain at home or who have been shielding.

He added: “Our primary focus has been the safety of our customers and staff, and this continues to be the case as our teams develop our operations, while ensuring that all necessary guidelines are appropriately applied."
