A SPECIAL Muir of Ord "green health day" event scheduled for this week has been postponed until next month because of a local spike in Covid cases.

MOO Food, which has pioneered a number of sustainable initiatives, confirmed today the event due to take place this Saturday has now been postponed until Saturday, October 2.

It said: "Covid cases in Muir of Ord are rising at present and we know a lot of people would not be able to come along and join in.

"We want all our events and activities to be run as safely as possible to give the community confidence to come back out to events so we feel it is better to give things a little time and reschedule for next month and hope you will be able to join us then for an awesome day of outside fun.

"For anyone that is still interested in signing up to our Zerowaste Kitchen Challenge and hasn't done so yet, it starts next week so make sure to sign up through the link below before Monday.

"Signing up gives you access to free workshops, videos and lots of info on how to reduce waste from our own homes.

"You are welcome to join in from wherever you live and MOO Food will be able to support those in the MOO area with free gifts to help you on your way."
