Muir of Ord Urray House resident takes on gala colour run

When Gillian Black from Urray House care home told staff she wanted to paint the town red, they found the perfect opportunity at the Muir of Ord Gala.

Game for a laugh Gillian was a colourful sight for sore eyes after taking part in the Gala’s Colour Fun Run. One of 200 runners, spirited Gillian joined in the lively event with her usual enthusiasm.

Activities coordinator Debbie Ironside, who joined Gillian, said, "Gillian had an absolute blast and thoroughly enjoyed taking part.

“She was telling everyone at Urray House that she wanted to go back and do it all over again! We were both splattered with paint but it was worth it. We had an amazing time.”

Gillian is known for her lively sense of humour. At a recent Willie Wonka themed party at Urray House she stole the show dressed as an Oompa Loompa.
