STAFF at a Wester Ross museum have returned from furlough and are preparing to re-open to visitors after the long lockdown.

Gairloch Museum says staff are now getting to grips with the guidelines for reopening.

It said: "Scottish Government guidance suggests we can open on July 15, so we are working towards that date. We have a lot of preparation and training to do though. Watch this space."

The museum now operates in a former Anti-Aircraft Operations Room bomb-proof operations room.
