A Wester Ross secondary gearing up for the return to school after one of the most extraordinary terms in living memory has named the pupils who will serve as captains.

Gairloch High School's prize-giving ceremony, held online because of the coronavirus crisis, included the announcement of the new school captains Lucy Hildrey, Maisie Baptist and Kienan Hewitson, pictured with headteacher Wim Chalmet.
