Debate continues over just where the perpetrators came from, whether 'Glasgow' or 'north of here' but overwhelming agreement on the local community form and Facebook is that more protection is needed for the area, with wild campers still clearly capable of defying Covid-19 restrictions and to damage – and risk a disaster – one of the strath's most treasured beauty spots.
Kingussie firefighters rushed to Aviemore after the alarm went up at the weekend after what had been a quiet period following summer's disruption.
They found small fires, tents, chairs, piles of bottles and cans.
There was even a lilo floating in the loch.
There have also been reports of human waste left in the surrounding woodland, which has raised locals' fears all the more.

They are now demanding that more measures are put in place to stop the blighting of one of the jewels in the Cairngorms crown.
Aviemore and Spey Valley Community Forum users have been raging all week over the "absolutely disgusting" behaviour which has reared its ugly head again.
Fears are also growing that the behaviour is emanating from people in tier 3 and 4 regions of the country with the potential of spreading coronavirus, through one means or another.
Some Facebookers have been moved to describe such dirty campers as "vermin".
