Funeral of former Black Isle hotel proprietor set to take place next week

THE funeral will take place next week of the popular proprietor of a Black Isle hotel who has died after a short illness.

Priscilla ‘Cilla’ MacLachlan died peacefully on December 27 at Raigmore Hospital with her family present.

Mrs MacLachlan (nee Paterson), well known for her role with the North Kessock Hotel, was wife to Dennis for 56 years and was mother of Allan, Derek and Darren.

She was also described as a proud granny, a much-loved mother in law, sister, sister in law, auntie, cousin and friend to many.

The funeral will take place at John Fraser & Son in Inverness on January 14 and afterwards interment will be at Killearnan Cemetery.

The funeral is scheduled for 11.30am.

Family flowers only have been requested.

Donations at the service will go to Macmillan Nurses and Cancer Research UK.
