BLOOMING lovely flowers and plants will help to boost funds of a major charity that provides terminal care.

Foulis Castle in Evanton will once again run its successful garden plant sale in aid of Marie Curie later this month. The event, which runs every two years, typically generates between £6000 and £9000 and organisers hope it will prove another winner with the public.

Committee member Panny Laing said: “Gardeners from near and far have been growing masses of plants specially for this day so there will be a wide variety for sale, along with teas and home baking, hot food from Frasers Catering Van and a raffle too, to make it a lovely day out for all.

“Once again the Munro family are very generously hosting the Plant Sale, and this year everything will be completely undercover in their enormous new shed.”

The event will run from 10.30am to 3pm on Sunday, May 19. Entry is free.
