A POPULAR community market is on the lookout for a new administrator to help organise it.

The current administrator of Fortrose Community Market will step down in March, and it is appealing to anyone interested in helping to run it to come forward before April.

“Sadly, our market organiser is leaving in March because of changes in her other jobs. So, we’re looking for someone with a passion for local food and crafts to organise and administer the market from April,” said a spokesperson for Fortrose Community Market.

“The work involves liaising with stall-holders and our team of volunteer helpers to make sure the market continues to be a success.”

Anyone interested should private message them at their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/FortroseCommunityMarket

Meanwhile, the next Fortrose community market will take place in Fortrose Community Theatre, next to the library, on Saturday, February 1.

It is expected to feature “all the usual food goodies and some lovely crafts”.

The market runs on the first Saturday of every month from 10am to 12.30pm.
