CalMac ferry sailings between Ullapool and Stornoway cancelled with gale force winds set to hit the west Highlands
Stormy seas have forced the cancellation of today’s ferry sailings between Ullapool and Stornoway.
Operator CalMac took the decision in the face of a poor forecast for Friday (October 24), with warnings of potential disruption also in place for Saturday.
The 10.45am and 6.15pm departures from Ullapool have been cancelled, along with this morning’s 7am Stornoway-Ullapool crossing and this afternoon’s 2.30pm departure.
A CalMac spokeswoman said: “Due to forecast strong gale force winds and associated sea swell conditions, all sailings have been cancelled.
