Fearn Abbey to hold guided tours this Saturday

Friends of Fearn Abbey are working to keep the ‘Lamp of the North’ burning and are holding an Open Guided Tours Day of both the abbey and the graveyard on Saturday (June 28).

An application has recently been submitted to the Scottish Land Fund with regards a community purchase to preserve the iconic building.

The fundraising now begins in earnest towards the work of future plans for the building. Tours run as follows: 10am, 11.30am, 1pm, and 2.30pm. It’s a chance to learn about the fascinating history of Fearn Abbey and what its graveyard holds. Tours cost £5 and includes a comprehensive booklet explaining some of the architectural history of the Abbey.
