823 store cattle sold at 'fantastic' Dingwall and Highland Marts sale

DINGWALL and Highland Marts Ltd sold 823 store cattle and 58 OTM cattle.
Bullocks (466) averaged 256.1p, and sold to 311.0p per kg for a pen of 283kg Charolais crosses from Creagmhor, Glenelg and £1,300 twice for a 460kg Limousin cross from Westburn, Thurso and for a pair of 575kg Simmental crosses from Glebe Farm, Kiltarlity.
Heifers (354) averaged 240.9p and sold to 318.6p per kg for a 295kg Limousin cross from Westburn and £1260 for a 545kg Limousin cross from Granish Farm, Aviemore.
Young Bulls (3) averaged 193.5p and sold to 223.5p per kg and £950 gross for a Beef Shorthorn from Tackmore Croft, Lybster.
It was described as "a fantastic show of cattle".

OTM cattle averaged 136.8p and sold to 182.0p per kg for a 610kg Simmental cross from Torran Farm, Delny and £1,290 for a 1,000kg British Blue from Hilton Farm, Tain and for a 945kg Simmental cross from Kinnahaird Farm, twice and for a 950kg Simmental Cross from Tore Mains, Tore.
