DINGWALL and Highland Marts Ltd sold 709 continental cross store cattle, yearlings and weaned calves today.
Bullocks (440) averaged 231.8p (up 27.0p on the year) and sold to 303.2p per kg for a 470kg Limousin cross from 1 & 2 Conon, Uig and £1,320 gross for a 690kg Charolais cross from Fiddlefield, Muir of Ord.
Heifers (269) averaged 218.7p (up 32.1p on the year) and sold to 324.3p per kg for a pen of 148kg Limousin crosses from 1 & 2
Conon, Uig and £1,520 gross for a 500kg Limousin cross from 2 Lochend, Barrock.
The mart said "all classes once again met an exceptional trade".

OTM feeding bulls (12) sold to 128.4p per kg for a 475kg Limousin from Corriebheinn Farms, Achachork, and £1,330 gross for a 1055kg Limousin from Easter Craggach, Kirkhill.
