Highland mainline passengers face disruption this weekend when engineering work takes place; buses will replace trains between Inverness and Perth on Saturday and Sunday

RAIL passengers face disruption on Highland mainline journeys when engineering work closes the route this weekend.

Buses are set to replace trains on services between Inverness and Perth on Saturday and Sunday.

"For helpful advice if you need to travel on a rail replacement service, including accessibility and bicycle information, please use this page," said a ScotRail spokesman.

"You can find the location of your bus replacement by checking station signs or by searching for your station on our station information pages."
