A FIVE-vehicle crash on the A9 near Alness has resulted in delays for traffic.

Emergency services are at the scene of the collision which involved four cars and a bus.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said the incident was reported at 2.50pm.

There is no detailed update on casualties but it is understood there are no life-threatening injuries.

Fire crews from Invergordon and Dingwall have been sent to the scene along with a specialist unit from Inverness.
