Eight more coronavirus cases diagnosed in the NHS Highland area in last day

The cumulative number of coronavirus cases across the Highlands has risen to 557 according to figures published today.
In Scotland as a whole, 245 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in the past 24 hours – down from 350 yesterday but still greater than Friday's update of 203.
The number of people in hospital with recently-confirmed coronavirus fell by one, to 63. Of those, nine were in intensive care last night. No further deaths have been reported from among those who had tested positive for coronavirus, though register offices are normally closed at weekends.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the north of Scotland, there was no increase in cases reported in NHS Shetland, NHS Orkney or NHS Eileanan Siar.
The number of cases diagnosed in the NHS Grampian area, however, rose by 20, taking its cumulative total to 2098. And NHS Tayside's overall tally rose by 10 to 2265.
There have now been 24,371 confirmed cases of Covid-19 detected in Scotland since the beginning of the pandemic.
