AN Easter Ross primary school has come up with an imaginative way to stage its own jubilee celebration.

The Jubilee Jumble at South Lodge Primary invites children to dress as kings and queens or opt for the colour purple or garden party wear.

The school's parent council is hoping all children have the chance to dress up for the Thursday, June 2 Jubilee Party Picnic and is asking folk with spare or outgrown costumes, party wear or hats to hand them in to the school by Friday so they can be recycled.

Items will then be available for parents to collect something for their child if they wish on Wednesday, June 1 on Sports Day.

The school has previously staged a successful Christmas Jumper Jumble along similar lines.

South Lodge posted: "A million thanks again to our Parent Council for this great idea and organising it for us."
