Alness Angling Club is hoping for a good turnout for its fundraising race night.

MEMBERS of an Easter Ross angling club are hoping to haul in a tasty "catch" at a special race night fundraising event.

Alness Angling Club’s annual fundraiser is being held at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 7 at the Alness and Ardross Bowling Club.

The club described it as “a really laid back” evening with £1 a stake races and a raffle draw.

The club owns and rents fishings on the River Averon which flows from its source Loch Morie though the valley of Kildermorie into the sea at Alness.
