Did you start attending Tain Royal Academy in 1976?

If so, the organisers of a school reunion in Tain would like to hear from you.

Tain Golf Club will be the host for an evening of reminiscing and music on Saturday, September 7 as former classmates come together in what will also be a significant birthday year for those born in 1964.

The event, which is scheduled to run from 7pm until midnight, promises to be a chance to “catch up and share stories” with old friends who attended the Tain school from 1976 onwards.

Iain Morrison, one of the reunion organisers, said: “Reunions are the perfect chance to catch up, share stories, and compare the number of hip replacements.

“Whether you’re a silver fox or still boasting your original teeth, this gathering promises a night of laughter, nostalgia, and possibly a few impromptu naps.

“After all, who can resist chatting with old friends about the good old days when homework was your biggest worry, and joints didn’t creak like old floorboards?”

As well as former pupils, organisers are keen to have as many teachers as possible from that era attend the event.

The group are also on the lookout for any old photos, school magazines or other memorabilia from their time at the Academy.
