A9 Black Isle crash results in one driver being charged and a man being taken to hospital to be checked over, Police Scotland officers in the Highlands confirm

A driver has been charged with road traffic offences after a crash on the A9 at the Munlochy junction.

The crash, which occurred at around 11.40am on Wednesday, partially blocked the road southbound for a time.

A man was taken to hospital “to be checked over” and the road later fully reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.40am on Wednesday, we received a report of a road crash involving two cars on the A9 at B9161.

"One man was taken to hospital to be checked over.

"One driver was charged in connection with road traffic offences.
