A 66-year-old Wester Ross woman was fined £320 and banned from driving for a year at Inverness Sheriff Court today.

Dorothy Bryson, of Village Road, Dornie, admitted driving while almost three times the legal limit in the village on June 24.

Her reading was 65mcgs when the limit is 22mcgs of alcohol.

The court was told she had drunk some cider before driving to the local shop.

Sheriff Sara Matheson ruled Bryson suitable for the drink-driver's rehabilitation course which, if she completes it successfully, would reduce her disqualification by three months.
