CREATIVE Invergordon folk could soon be clutching at straw after a community group launched a build-a-scarecrow contest.

Community Spirit Invergordon wants members of the public to design their own Wurzel Gummidge-style creation before posting a picture of it on the organisation’s Facebook page.

The entrant that attracts the most ‘likes’ on social media will win a £50 Amazon voucher.

One entry is allowed per household and all must be posted by June 30.
