TWO Highland distilleries have been thanked for their donations of hand sanitiser to a Ross-shire mountain rescue team.

The Torridon Mountain Rescue Team took to social media at the weekend to thank Whyte and Mackay's Invergordon distillery as well as Kinrara Distillery in Aviemore following the recent donations.

"We would like to thank Kinrara Distillery Ltd for their generous donation of containers of hand sanitiser which will help us to be prepared for any call-outs during the Covid-19 pandemic," said a spokesman. "A very kind gesture indeed!

"Many thanks [too] to Whyte and Mackay's Invergordon distillery for their very kind donation of bottles of hand sanitiser. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst during the Covid-19 pandemic."

They also reminded people to stay safe, stay local, stay well while lockdown restrictions remain in force.
