DINGWALL’s yarn-bombing group have once again taken to the county town’s High Street, sharing their colourful knits to mark World Book Day celebrations.

During every holiday and celebration, the yarn-bombing group have been adding a splash of colour to Dingwall’s High Street and leave ‘little acts of kindness’ around the area – all the group ask for in return is a donation to St Clement’s School. The special school – close to the hearts of many in Ross-shire – has been battling to improve facilities for the vulnerable pupils in its care.

Their latest set of knitted-décor featured some much-loved children’s book characters — such as the The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the Mr. Men — to mark World Book Day last week (March 6).

The yarn-bombing group said: “We decorate the high street post boxes and leave little acts of kindness around the area. After our Ross County football post box toppers, numerous folk asked for their own knitted footballer! All we ask is for a donation to St Clement’s school. We are a small group with various amounts of time to spend knitting!”
