Dingwall Medical Group will secure new equipment with £1500 cheque from local lodge

A £1500 cheque will help provide a shot in the arm for patients at a busy Ross-shire medical group.
Dr Miles Mack, senior GP partner at Dingwall Medical Group, gratefully received the cheque from Lodge Fingal and D Gunn Funeral directors on behalf of the Dingwall Medical Group Patient’s Funds.
The donation of £1500 was raised through various fundraising efforts of Lodge Fingal members.
The funds will go towards home blood pressure monitors, a spirometry machine for measuring lung function for patients with lung conditions, otoscopes and auroscopes to help the clinical team provide better care for ear and eye conditions.
Dr Mack said: "Also donated by Lodge Fingal members is the print of Chanonry Point at our reception desk along with beautiful prints of local birds that now decorate our waiting room.
“We are very lucky to have received such stunning prints that will brighten up our waiting area that our patients can enjoy. The generous donation will allow us to offer more tests to our patients in the surgery and remove the need for them to travel to specialist hospitals. The practice is very grateful of donations from local groups and families of our patients. Over the years we have been able to purchase nebulisers, stethoscopes, defibrillators and an ECG machine."
