Dingwall man admits domestic abuse at property in Strathpeffer

A Ross-shire man will be sentenced next month after being ordered to be assessed for a domestic abuser's rehabilitation programme.

Archie Ritchie of Simpson Place, Dingwall appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted assaulting his partner or ex-partner on September 29 this year at a property in Ulladale Crescent, Strathpeffer by pushing her on the body.

Sentence was deferred by Sheriff Gary Aitken until January 30 for the 32 year old to be interviewed by social workers running the Caledonia Men's Programme.

The sheriff declined to hear the facts from fiscal depute Karen Poke or mitigation from defence solicitor David Patterson until the next calling.
