PEOPLE living on the Black Isle have a chance to find out more about future development plans for the Inner Moray Firth area tonight.

The Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan will determine what development can happen in communities over the next 10 to 20 years.

Highland Council has appealed to the public to help shape the plan "and ensure our communities are sustainable and have good access to jobs and services".

The local authority has completed its so-called "main issues report" which identifies the key challenges and sets out a range of options for tackling them.

As well as making comments online at www.highland.gov.uk/imf the people will be able to attend online commuity engagement events. One for Avoch, Killen, Fortrose and Rosemarkie is being staged this evening at 7.30pm.

Rosemarkie Amenities has flagged the meeting and said anyone interested in attending should message it for the joining details or info@rosemarkieamenities.net.

The consultation is open until April 1. Queries can be emailed to imfldp@highland.gov.uk or by calling 01349 886608.
