THE public are being given more time to comment on three planning blueprints which will influence future housing, wind and commercial developments in Ross-shire and beyond.

The consultations on the Highland-wide Local Development Plan Main Issues Report, the draft Onshore Wind Energy Supplementary Guidance and the Local Housing Strategy have all been extended.

The deadline for comments had been set to December 18, but to make sure that as many people as possible have sufficient time to consider the documents and make comments, including newly formed community councils, that has been extended to January 29.

Comments can be submitted by noon that day on the council’s online consultation http://consult.highland.gov.uk/portal which aims to make it easy to read and make comments on these consultations.
