A NEWSPAPER delivery service has been set up in Cromarty to help residents maintain social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak.

Cromarty Store has set up the delivery service to help reduce in-shop congestion and increase separation between customers.

"We've been told in recent days that social distancing of two metres is vitally important to prevent contracting or passing on the coronavirus bug," said the Cromarty and District Community Council on its Facebook page.

"This can make visits to the shops when they are congested potentially risky. In view of this the Cromarty Store has set up a newspaper delivery service. Newspapers should be pre-ordered so if you would like a daily delivery of newspapers, please fill out the form and drop it in the box in the Store."

To get a copy of the paper order form go to Cromarty and District Community Council's Facebook page.
