CHILDREN in a Black Isle town had bags of reasons for the smiles on their faces as they went home with a special treat.

Cromarty Youth Cafe said that with funding from the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme and The Middleton Trust Covid-19 Resilience Fund, it was pleased to be able to present every child of pre-primary school age in Cromarty with a bag containing a mixture of everyday essentials and fun, "as we all fight against the Covid-19 pandemic together".

It urged people to "stay safe, stay well and support others".

The treat went down well with children and their parents.

One posted: "Thank you so much the children were delighted with their bags."

Another said: "What a lovely thing to do."
