Ross County midfielder Don Cowie has pledged to donate money to NHS workers – if his teammates complete the over-70 challenge.

The Staggies launched the challenge on Twitter last Friday, with co-manager Steven Ferguson asking people to do more than 70 keepie-ups to show support and solidarity for the over-70 age group who are at high risk during the coronavirus pandemic.

It is also a way to help people of all ages stay active while self-isolating, and over 100 football fans, players and coaches around the country are thought to have already taken part.

Cowie is one of the latest, and has said that for each teammate who completes the challenge, the 37-year-old will donate £50 to NHS workers who are on the front line fighting coronavirus.
