NEW blood is needed if a Black Isle council is to do all it can to support residents, it has warned.

Cromarty and District Community Council has warned that it is “now limited in the amount it can do to support the community” and has urged interested members of the public to consider joining it.

“Due to a lack of nominations at last year’s local elections, [the council] is now limited in the amount it can do to support the community,” said a spokesman.

“To ensure the community receives the level of service it requires, we have the ability to co-opt new members. If you are interested, please email us at cromartydistriccc@gmail.com.”

For more information contact any of the current community council members. Details may also be found on the council's website.

Applications close on Sunday.
