COMMUNITY stalwarts in a Ross-shire village have issued an appeal to locals after glass was smashed in a car park.
Maryburgh Community Council said there had been an issue over the last few weeks with broken glass in the hall car park, graffiti and broken windows.
On a recent Sunday morning, the whole car park was covered in smashed glass in what had been the worst incident of its kind to date.
It said police are already aware and have been monitoring the situation.
Big-hearted volunteers spent their morning clearing the glass up as best they could.
It posted: “This is our community, let’s not let it go downhill and become a gathering place for antisocial behaviour. The broken glass can damage cars, bike tyres, kids, dogs. Please if you hear anything please report it to the police."
