Climber rescued near Kyle of Lochalsh airlifted to Raigmore after sustaining serious injuries





A climber was airlifted from the Kyle of Lochalsh area to Raigmore Hospital after falling yesterday evening.

The Kintail Mountain Rescue team was called at around 5pm on Sunday in support of the Scottish Ambulance Service after a climber had taken a fall while climbing the White Dyke crag.

A rescue team spokesperson said: “The climber has sustained some serious injuries and the decision to call in Rescue helicopter R151 was made and the team packaged the casualty and airlifted to Raigmore hospital for further treatment.

“The team would like to wish the casualty a speedy recovery.”
