A FULL team callout was triggered for a Ross-shire mountain rescue team after a walker took a tumble on an iconic peak.

Early on Saturday afternoon, Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team was tasked by Police Scotland to assist in the evacuation of a casualty with a leg injury at Stac Pollaidh in Coigach, north of Ullapool.

The casualty was assessed by the team’s medical crew before being treated, packaged and then stretchered down to the carpark for onward transport to hospital in Inverness.
