AN opportunity to learn an exuberant art form, get a bit of exercise and let off some steam is being offered in Cromarty this weekend.

A carnival drumming workshop is being led by Carol Scorer on Saturday, June 15 at the Stables from 2pm to 5pm.

It is being flagged up as a fun way to let off steam and learn some funky rhythms in a relaxed group. Organisers say that no experience is required and the event is open to all ages.

Instruments from Brazil and Cuba will be available to try out at what promises to be a noisy session. Participants are welcome to bring their own instrument or use one provided and children are welcome as long as they are accomopanied by an adult.

It costs £15 for adults and £7 for children under 16. To find out more, email info@cromartyartstrust.org.uk or call 01381 600 354.
