Wester Ross loft used for growing cannabis ‘to self medicate’

Police raided a man's home and discovered a tub of cannabis and a plant being grown in the loft by the occupant.
At Inverness Sheriff Court, 54 year old William Fraser, now of Burnside, Nairn, admitted producing the drug at a house in Poolewe, Wester Ross on January 25 this year.
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank heard that eight grams of the Class B drug was recovered as well as the plant.
Fraser told police: "I use it to self medicate."
He was fined £420.
