A ROSS-SHIRE bar was deep-cleaned after a member of staff tested positive for Covid following a football match and is now "business as usual".

The Mallard in Dingwall shared the news on its social media pages in the wake of last Sunday's meeting in Dingwall between Ross County and Rangers,

The Station Square pub, a popular watering hole with supporters, stated: "Just to keep you all informed before the rumour mill goes into overdrive.

"After the Ross County Rangers game last week one of our team members unfortunately tested positive.

"We immediately after the game last Sunday night deep cleaned and fogged the pub with antibacterial solutions. The staff member has not worked since last Sunday and is now self-isolating at home.

"There is no indication that in fact the virus was picked up at the football. As a precaution all of the staff and myself have been tested and we are all negative so it's business as usual at the Mallard."
