Two vehicle crash on A836 between Edderton and A9 closes road south of Dornoch Firth





Emergency services are at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the A836 in Easter Ross.

The accident has partially blocked the route north-west of Tain on the southern shore of the Dornoch Firth between the A9 and the Edderton.

The incident was first reported at around 6:38 and highlighted at 6.51 pm by AA Traffic News.

The AA alert read: “Road blocked due to crash on A836 both ways from the A9 to Edderton Stone. Traffic is coping well.”

Police, ambulance and the fire service are at the scene.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “We’re in attendance at a two-vehicle RTC reported to us at 18:38. We have two appliances, one from Dornoch and one from Tain at the scene, along with ambulance and police.”
