Brahan Seer in storytelling spotlight at Highland Museum of Childhood outdoor event in Strathpeffer

The Highland Museum of Childhood in Strathpeffer is hosting an evening of stories about the Brahan Seer Standing Stones, told by local storyteller and Brahan Seer expert, Lizzie McDougall.
They are looking forward to welcoming an adult audience on the railway platform at the Old Station in Strathpeffer next Friday evening – June 4 – between 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
Whilst listening to Lizzie’s stories, guests will be treated to complimentary refreshments at the open-air event.
Commenting about the event, museum Curator and Manager, Morven MacDonald said: “We’re really very excited about welcoming folk back to the Old Station for events and to visit the museum. We’re very lucky here to have a beautiful outdoor space, under the cover of the Victorian railway canopy. Audiences can enjoy activities out in the fresh air but are also protected from the elements – although we’re hoping for a lovely sunny evening for the Brahan Seer stories.”
This is one of many events the museum is hosting for adults and children over the next few months. Future events include vintage toymaking workshops, needlecraft tutorials, guided sessions for gardening enthusiasts and more stories with Lizzie McDougall.
